Stuff your face
Saturday, August 15th, 2009So normally I would’ve stayed at home all day and crashed after a couple of days out of town without much sleep, but we ended up going to the States the day after we returned from Toronto. We haven’t gone in a while so my mom decided we would go – the day after we got back from Toronto. I wasn’t feeling that great because my arm was sore from pulling luggage and I was just tired, but I really wanted to go since it had been a while, so we went.
Going through customs and shit alone took over an hour because the traffic was SO BAD. By the time we got to the mall it was about 5:00pm, which gave us only 4 hours to do our shopping. We rushed through the mall and when it closed we went to Target to get school stuff. My high school never gave us a school supply list so I just randomly picked out stuff that looked necessary.
We have a couple of friends from the States so we decided to go to dinner with them. The guy had this pass to go to a buffet at this casino and I started getting nervous. Why?
001. Kids aren’t allowed in casinos
002. There are a lot of crazy people in casinos
003. It was late which increases the craziness level
004. There are a lot of crazed people in casinos
My mom’s friend told us to wait in the parking lot for them and we would meet there. We found a spot but for about 5 minutes I refused to get out of the car because it looked a little out of control. When my mom finally convinced me that it was completely safe since there were security guards around every corner, I got out of the car. Too bad we couldn’t find our friends. We literally walked around the whole second level of the parking garage looking for these people when they ended up being on the level below us… -_-”
Once we found our friends we went into the hotel part of the casino to go to the restaurant which made me less nervous, but being one of the few kids there, I felt really out of place. We had to wait in line to get into the buffet and luckily there were way more kids there. Of course, when I found out it was a buffet I got excited. I’m the kind of person that likes to take way more food than I can eat. So I start piling on the food. Someone suggested the steak so I went to get some for everyone. I asked for four pieces and the guy ended up giving us four HUGGGEEE pieces of gargantuan steak. These things equaled to about 10 pieces of that really thick steak that you find at a restaurant. When chef handed me the plate with the steaks on them I was like WOAHH!!! and he was all THAT’S WHAT YOU ASKED FOR!!! *Chuckes*. And the guy next to me in line started peeing himself from laughing so hard…shut up.
The desert was probably the best part – make your own sundaes! On top of two scoops of my chocolate ice cream, I piled on mountains of m&m’s, chocolate chips, marshmallows, peanuts and some other mashed up chocolate nutsy things. Be jealous
